Corven took flight in February 2008 to help organisations better connect vision, strategy, and workplace learning.
Our premier services ― developing Education Strategy and working with trainers to develop their TradeCraft ― have assisted organisations to sharpen their educational practices for improved productivity. This has been achieved by giving workplace learning and professional development a strategic focus with greater accountability to organisational outcomes, and embedding and measuring contemporary thinking about adult learning in practice.
Our research informs.
Our consulting services influence business and education practices.
Our presentations and workshops ignite action.
Julia Evans is our founder and principal consultant. As a consultant and trainer, Julia constantly looks for ways to apply research in highly practical, relevant ways. Her foundations lie firmly in the design and delivery of workplace training, professional development, and educational strategy. Commencing as a Learning and Development Manager for a franchisor in 1995, Julia co-founded a human resource consultancy firm in 1999 that provided executive recruitment and training services to the Australasian franchise sector. In 2008, she created Corven.
Coinciding with her business and consulting experience, Julia undertook 20-years of undergraduate and post-graduate study with The University of Melbourne in the disciplines of philosophy, adult and vocational learning, and educational management. Julia's doctoral studies identified philosophical issues that significantly impact effective small business education in Australia and established a model for better practice for the franchise sector. She is also the creator of Educator TradeCraft™
We have been grateful for the opportunity to support a wide range of leading national and international organisations in advancing their workplace training and professional development programs.
